The team will pick you up from your hotel around 7:00 am and take you on a 20-minute drive to Tambomachay, just outside of Cusco. Here you will begin with a 4-hour hike uphill to our lunch spot at Lake Koricocha, at 3,700m (12,139 ft). Then, walk another 3 hours to Kenko village (3,800m/12,467 ft). We will camp in comfortable tents under the stars.
After breakfast, we will hike 3 hours to the Inca Site of Huchuy Qosqo, at 3600m (11811 ft). Explore this beautiful archaeological site built by the Inca Empire over 500 years ago. After exploring Huchuy Qosqo, we will descend for 1 hour to the Sacred Valley, where lunch will be served. In the afternoon we will take the train to Aguas Calientes and spend the night in a hotel.
Explore the great Inca city of Machu Picchu with an expert tour guide and learn about the history of this spectacular Inca citadel. Return on the Vistadome panoramic train, arriving at your hotel around 7:30 pm.
